His name is Sim, and he's working out of the old Ray's Radiator building next to Grass Valley Ford. I got onto him when 2 different people called to tell me amazing things he did for them..then I wrote about him and heard from his family. We've gone to him ever since. Honest as the day is long.
So..Copy Right, Dave's Shoes..they come in 3's -- what will be next?
3 people were laid off in Grass Valley (at the city)...More to come?
Ladies, Mill St. Clothing has some great stuff right now! Check out the Woolrich vests ($29) and matching turtlenecks and mock turtles ($25) Great colors, great selection! It's going to be cold before you know it.
Books: I'm reading "Edgar Sawtelle" right now -- what a story! I'm halfway through and already don't want it to end. Just finished "Church of the Dog" also a great book with a hint of magic realism. What are you reading???

I'm reading the poems of Robert Service, "More Collected Verse of Robert Service"

Birthday
I thank whatever gods maybe For all the happiness that's mine;
That I am festive, fit, and free
To savior women, wit and wine;
That I my game of golf enjoy,
And have a formidable drive:
In short, that I'm a gay old boy
Though I be
Seventy-and-five.
My daughter thinks, because I am old
(I'm not a crock, when all is said),
I mustn't let my feet get cold,
And should wear woolen socks in bed;
A worsted nightcap too, forsooth!
To humor her I won't contrive:
A man is in his second youth
When he is
Seventy-and-five.
At four-score years old age begins,
And not till then, I warn my wife;
At eighty I'll recant my sins,
And live a sober life.
But meantime let me whoop it up,
And tell the world I'm alive:
Fill to the brim the bubbly cup ---
Here's to health and
Seventy-and-five.
