The Miners Foundry is letting YubaNet, KNCO and KVMR host a communitywide party on Election night. Many of the campaigns didn't have the funds to host pricey parties at restaurants this year, and everyone was thinking, wouldn't it be nice if we could all be there together? Democrats, Republicans, Greens, Libertarians, DTS, etc? With all the turmoil in the world it's a nice time to set aside our differences and celebrate what we all have in common -- a love of the place where we live.
There will be large screen TVs showing everything from CNN to Fox news and we'll have a feed from the Elections Office to get up-to-the-minute results. We're asking people to bring munchies and the Foundry will have a full bar. More specifics to come but I think the doors will open at 7 with first results expected soon after 8.
One thing we can all celebrate -- the end of campaigning!
Dagney,
I also loved Atlas Shrugged. I read it in 8th grade.

Mixing socialists/dems, GOP, greenies, libertarians on election night might be asking for trouble... should be a fun night for NCPD. I will stay home and soak in the hot tub. I noticed The Union was not mentioned as participating... interesting.

Hey Doug,
I'm not a big burger eater but I got one tonight on the way home and it was great! A big burger..reminded me of the ones you got at Foster Freeze in the 60s.
Have fun working the polls...

And the end to comments from the Union? Mine now makes no sense. What is the end time?

Well, nobody invited me either, but I'm a poll worker and probably will not get free until 11 pm. How late will this party run?
