Because I feel bad when I don't update this blog and he tells me he visits daily...so thanks for being a loyal reader, Patrick! I first met Patrick when we were on the United Way board together...and I run into him everywhere -- like The Trailer Trash Troubadors bash at the Jordan's house -- and now we're in the Nevada County Community Leadership Institute class together.
Speaking of that, what a great thing! Friday we heard the history of land use planning here, some insightful discussion by Andy Cassano, and ideas from a very forward thinking planner, Darin Dinsmore, who may change the entire future of South Lake Tahoe!
Caught the very last performance of "On Golden Pond" by Foothill Theatre. It was great!! They still need to raise $145,000 by the end of this year and that clock is ticking. I'm reminded of the fantastic partnership between The Center for the Arts and the City of Grass Valley and wonder if something similar can happen in Nevada City?
Speaking of that, I ran into Reinette Senum at the last Growers Market -- she's got a Community Congress going that I think is going to be awesome! And I loved Kathy Hillis dressed as a dalmatian!
Yeah, he "out there" all right. Out there working with community organizations to keep this place a good place to live - Thanks Patrick!
