You may have missed it, Missy's Cafe where Pasta Luigi's used to be? Anyway, another victim of this economy. Sad, sad, sad.
KNCO's new Web site is up...we haven't advertised it yet..these things take awhile to get the bugs out. We shopped local, of course, using Chip and John Paul at Spiral Studios in Nevada City. They are a delight to work with! We have Police Blotter now and will be adding new features all the time, so check us out!
'Tis the season for holiday parties...seems the economy hasn't dampened the holiday spirit! First up, the Contractor's Assn. this Thursday and then Rotary later that night. The KNCO bash is at Kane's next week -- he's closing for us.

Sick of turkey yet?
Dixie,
Nice start on the KNCO Web Page. I see lots of open space for a link to local blogs. The Union will only link to their own blogs. KNCO should establish some criteria, like posting activity, or monthly page reads, and then post a link to the local news and issues blogs. This is some thing the Union has refused to do. Linking and cross linking is the future of journalism, KNCO could become a local leader. As bloggers point to KNCO stories and KNCO points to bloggers stories, traffic will increase at all sites. More traffic => more eyes and ears for selling KNCO ads.

Just listening to the live stream (45 sec delay) of the Rush Limbaugh show. I am not complaining and hope it stays, but I suggest you check the legalities of streaming syndicated programing and commercially produced advertisements. It could save KNCO some embarassment. Just a friendly thought.

Just checked out KNCO's new website, and it is a clean and easy read, especially for us underprivilaged dial-up users. There is no comparison to the difficult navigation that one finds on that Other local media's website. Good Job, Dixie!
