This is a free event, sponsored by KNCO. Not only will the current choir perform, but we have an original recording of the Choir from the 30s that we will play. This will really be a beautiful afternoon and get you into the holiday spirit. Kudos to Choir Director Eleanor Kenitzer!
Speaking of the Cornish Choir, they performed last night at the Miners Old-Timers Dinner at the Elks Lodge. It's always a fun event, and all the old miners (literally a dying breed) tell some stories of what went on in the mines. If you're a history buff like I am, this stuff is great!!
Look for the Bridge Street Society Regulars and Irregulars singing Christmas Carols at Victorian Christmas this Wednesday. We sing traditional and non-traditional...at the top of Broad Street. We'll be the ones with foil wrapped baked potatoes in our pockets, keeping us warm, just like the miners used to do.
Love this brisk, sunny weather....but we do need rain. Last year at the 2nd Victorian Christmas it was pouring!
Hey Dixie, I sent you a couple emails on Tuesday; did they reach you?
(just trying to grasp how reliable-or-not email is, in this day and age)

Anna,
I will ask about the blotter. I have a meeting with Spiral today.
Dixie
PS-Is your job OK with the sale?

Dixie, also, your Police Blotter is lovely. Any chance the KNCO webmaster could provide a separate feed for it? (or have it at a constant URL?)
I wouldn't reprint the whole thing on NCVoices, just a teaser with a link back to KNCO's for the rest.
(and the KNCO news feed seems to be fixed, BTW - thanks!)

(and by the way - the feed right now is "upside down", the entries are supposed to be most recent _first_.)

Dixie, I'm going to rely on you to monitor the KNCO News feed and get your people to fix it if it's not showing the new news, ok?
Its URL is
