My sources tell me it was a physical brawl between an executive of the paper and an irate father who objected to something local that ran on the Opinion Page....if you go back to that day I'll bet you can figure it out...the rumor is that a broken finger was the result of the fight. It has been all the buzz around town!
Seems the Union is running a cover-up on the real story abut what happened. Seems last Tuedays Union editorial by Ackerman and it's "result" is being covered up.

It occurs to me that my question was naive, since the incident grew out of an earlier article published in The Union.
Maybe it's best we all leave it alone, so I regret picking at it.
Meaning, Dixie, feel free to delete both of these comments, if you're so inclined.
By the way, I'm sorry we didn't take the opportunity to introduce ourselves to you when we sat at the same table with you briefly Tuesday night at The Foundry (with Marc and Mona Mathias).

Hm, it's ironic that The Union itself is the story this time, with an incident -- even in its sparse details -- arguably as interesting as many of the stories it publishes.
Has it published this one? Will it?
